Chapter 3:

Anna lies on the operating table, her body surrounded by the controlled chaos of the medical team. As the anesthesia takes hold, she feels herself drifting—detaching from her physical form. A strange weightlessness overtakes her, and in the next moment, she is floating above her own body, staring down at the frantic scene below.

✨👤➡️👀👤✨

From this surreal vantage point, she watches with a mixture of horror and fascination as the doctors and nurses work tirelessly to stop the severe bleeding that threatens both her life and that of her unborn child.

“Forget about me! Just save my baby!” she cries out, but her voice doesn’t reach them. It is as though she exists in a different frequency, one where she can see but not be heard.

The room is filled with advanced technology—robotic assistants, holographic displays, augmented reality imaging systems, laser scalpels, and nano-sutures. The futuristic arsenal underscores the high stakes of Anna’s condition as the medical team moves with precision and urgency.

“We’ve got the worst of it under control, but I’ve had to stop the blood flow to the uterus. Prepare for immediate C-section. We need to deliver this baby now,” the surgeon orders, his tone urgent yet steady. Anna’s maternal instincts flare, a fierce protective surge colliding with her helplessness. She tries to reach out, to intervene, but she is powerless—a ghostly observer of her own fate.

The surgeon’s voice grounds her. “Stay focused, everyone. We’re almost there.”

The hum of technology blends with the rhythmic beeping of monitors. The laser scalpel makes the initial incision, precise and clean. Robotic assistants anticipate the surgeon’s every move, and the augmented reality imaging system provides an intricate view of the baby’s position.

Anna’s disembodied consciousness allows her to witness everything with heightened clarity, the details sharp and otherworldly. She watches as the surgeon carefully navigates through layers of tissue, reaching the womb. Every second stretches, the urgency palpable.

“She’s lost a lot of blood, doctor,” a nurse reports, voice taut with controlled tension. “We need to move faster.”

Anna’s heart aches with fear and desperation. The medical team’s movements are synchronized, a delicate dance of intervention and hope. Yet, she can feel the fragility of her own existence, the delicate thread holding her to life growing thinner by the moment.

“Prepare for extraction,” the surgeon instructs. “On my count—three, two, one.”

With practiced precision, the surgeon lifts the baby from the womb. Anna feels a rush of terror and awe as she watches her daughter emerge, so small, so vulnerable. The world seems to hold its breath.

“She’s so beautiful,” Anna whispers, emotion thick in her voice. “The most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen.”

A nurse swiftly carries the newborn to a table for examination. She rubs the baby’s tiny body, urging her to take her first breath, but the infant remains silent, unmoving. Fear grips Anna’s consciousness, stretching the moment into eternity.

Then, the baby’s eyes flutter open—glowing with an unearthly green luminescence. The sterile room seems to pause, the strange radiance casting a mesmerizing glow.

A nurse stares in astonishment. “Her eyes… they’re glowing.”

The surgeon leans in, his brow furrowed. “Remarkable,” he murmurs, his fingers gently tracing the contours of the child’s face.

The nurse, checking the vitals, confirms, “She’s doing exceptionally well. Despite everything, she’s healthy and strong.” Her tone is filled with awe.

Across the room, the monitors beep steadily. “The mother is stabilizing!” a team member calls out, relief in his voice.

Anna watches, overwhelmed with gratitude, but an unsettling feeling lingers. As much as she is relieved that they are both alive, a deep uncertainty stirs within her. What is the energy radiating from her child? Why does she still feel disconnected from her body?

A sudden force tugs at the edges of her awareness. An unseen vortex seems to ripple through the room, pulling her consciousness beyond the hospital walls. Waves of color and energy engulf her.

For a breathtaking moment, Anna’s vision expands. She sees shadowy reptilian-like figures, their hands manipulating human forms, their eyes calculating. Lightworkers battle behind the scenes, severing threads of deception, pushing humanity toward a higher vibration.

Then, as suddenly as the vision came, it collapses. She is drawn back into the hospital room, her awareness tethered once more to the present. Was this a glimpse into her daughter’s fate? A warning?

“Hang in there, Anna,” she whispers to herself. “We’re going to get through this.”

Her consciousness wavers, the boundary between physical and non-physical realms blurring. The sight of her daughter—otherworldly and luminous—fills her with a mix of awe and determination. She clings to that image, using it as an anchor in the chaos.

The medical team moves with precision, their efforts a testament to human resilience and ingenuity. Each decision, each movement, brings her closer to survival.

Anna’s heart swells with fierce maternal pride. Her daughter is extraordinary. She must return to her body, to hold and protect her child.

Then, movement catches her attention. A nurse steps away from the controlled chaos, retreating into a quiet alcove. Anna observes him closely as he pulls a flat, transparent communication device from his scrub pocket.

She can’t hear his words, but his furtive glances toward the surgical theater send a chill through her. His expression is guarded, his demeanor tense. Who is he talking to? And why now?

The moment is brief. He slips the device back into his pocket and rejoins the medical team, his face a perfect mask of professionalism.

But Anna knows better. Something is not right. A whisper of warning echoes through her mind.

If she survives this, she will uncover the truth. No matter where it leads.

Continue to Chapter 4:

Charles reflects on the events leading up to Anna’s medical crisis, including a suspicious encounter he has with a new colleague, Joel, at their anniversary dinner. Joel’s sudden appearance at their table, combined with his suspicious actions and Anna’s sudden labor, raises Charles’s suspicions. At the time, he is too overwhelmed with worry to address them. Later, in the hospital, the doctor informs Charles that Anna is in critical condition and their baby, born via emergency C-section, is in the NICU but stable. Despite the doctor’s reassurances, Charles is consumed with fear and guilt, determined to uncover what really happened.
